Once the old lock is removed, insert the new lock using the same screw and follow the arrow on the pin for proper alignment. Punch the pin until it is aligned from both sides. Finally, readjust the shaft lock/bolt to ensure the new lock folds in well, providing just enough resistance without any play in the stem/hinge.
